Activities Programme Manager

We are looking for an experienced Activities Programme Manager. This role will manage effective cost controls and resourcing to enable the delivery of our charity’s activities programmes to budget, quality and time. You will encourage innovation and have the ability to provide inspirational leadership and focus for our delivery team.

This role will allow you to join The AHOY Centre at a time where our Activity Programmes and Project Management capability is going through a rapid and positive change and will allow you to make your mark and share your knowledge, skills and experience. As an established Project Manager, you will use your experience to mentor and guide other colleagues to achieve success.
Key skills required
• Minimum of two years’ experience in project/programme management
• Professionalism in dealing with internal and external contacts
• Excellent man-management skills and the ability to motivate and lead a team
• Ability to work well under pressure and juggle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Watersports leadership experience essential, with further experience/knowledge in education and/or mentoring preferable

Key Duties

• Manage all programmes from inception to delivery
• As an established Project Manager, you will use your experience to mentor and guide members of our delivery team for optimum job satisfaction and programme success
• Conduit between the delivery staff and management

RYA Senior Instructor

The SI will deliver our charity’s diverse range of water based activities and programmes with the opportunity to become Chief Instructor. The successful candidate will be an experienced RYA qualified Senior Instructor with the following key qualifications, experience and skills:
• RYA Senior Instructor with tidal/river experience (Keel Boat Instructor Endorsed)
• RYA Powerboat Instructor with tidal/river experience
• RYA Shore based qualifications i.e. First Aid
• Other teaching educational/qualifications i.e. NVQ, NCFE etc.
• Mentoring

Lead Rowing Coach

This role involves assisting our Programme Manager and leading in delivering our charity’s diverse range of fixed-seat rowing activities and programmes, both in-door and on-water plus our range of “Oarsome” sponsored rowing challenges. The successful candidate will be an experienced Rowing Coach and the following qualifications would be desirable, however, we are willing to further train the right candidate:

This role involves assisting our Chief Instructor with delivering our charity’s diverse range of water activities and programmes, sailing, rowing & power boating. The successful candidate will be an experienced RYA qualified Dinghy Instructor with the following key qualifications:
• RYA Dinghy Instructor with tidal/river experience
• RYA L2 Powerboat qualified with tidal/river experience

Challenge Fundraisers

We are looking for a Fundraiser with a proven ability to build strong relationships with new and existing corporate supporters. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with some of the world’s largest businesses who already support our inspirational South London Charity. The role involves working with our current, friendly team of Fundraisers to grow and develop our charity’s exciting sponsored challenges.

Hours: 35 hours PW – including weekends and evenings
