“All the young people who engage in your projects have been excluded from mainstream school. Many have emotional and behavioural difficulties. AHOY provided a fantastic enrichment opportunity for young people from different ethnic and cultural background. There has been evidence of improved attendance and punctuality, organisational skills, social and personal development, promotion of physical fitness and teamwork, peer mentoring.
It has been an absolute pleasure working with all the instructors and volunteers at AHOY who have an amazing way of ensuring that the young people feel at ease when they are out of their ‘comfort zone’ and are prepared to build positive relationships in order to make sure that the young people reach their full potential.”
