‘ A Charity Changing Peoples Live's Through Sailing ’
Shipmates: Youth Volunteers sign up to become ‘Shipmates’ and pledge to be trained to sail so that they can, in turn, help others to learn how to sail. They also have to help out on maintenance and fundraising at the Centre.
Christmas doo!!
On Saturday, 6th December, everyone came down to AHOY to celebrate the achievements from 2008. The Youth Volunteers celebrated their successes on getting either Stage 1 or 2 sailing, Assistant Instructors, Start Racing, Sailing with a Spinnaker or their Levels in power boating. This shows that there has been major progress with all the youth, especially because they put all their effort and hard work into gaining their water sports skills. Everyone had a fantastic time listening to speeches, booging at the disco and best of all eating the food! We hope next year to have many more great achievements.
